Engaged as the Interim Controller of a $100 million, private-equity-backed financial services company to improve the timeliness of and controls related to its monthly close. Company closed its books and completed its audit in half its previous time. Importantly, it did so with significantly improved controls.

Set up the audit committee, including: charter, priorities and meeting format for a public company’s Financial Services subsidiary. Solid planning and crisp execution ensured all regulatory and governance requirements were met or exceeded.

As the Interim Chief Accounting Officer, produced SEC reports for a consumer products company (such as Q’s, K’s, and Proxies) for a company that backed into a public shell. Engaged by the new CFO of a large public relations firm to perform an organizational review of his globally-based accounting and finance department. Roles and responsibilities refined, central accounting and operational processing units assessed for effectiveness, and a revised and more efficient organizational reporting structure proposed and adopted.

Recreated the financials of a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company to prepare the subsidiary for an outside audit. Audit completed in a timely manner.

Engaged by a start-up consumer product manufacturing company that sold through distributors. Our role was to produce forecasts and reports for an equity capital raise. The company was successful in raising equity capital, and we have been retained as a fractional strategic CFO.
