Scott Magill leads the firm’s Process Improvement practice. Recent work in this area includes the implementation of a new accounting process and ERP system for a 150 professional, six-office public accounting firm; the design and pilot of a new management reporting (customer tracking) system for a top 25 US Bank; the design and pilot of a financial reconciliation process supporting the development an enterprise data warehouse for a top 25 US Bank.
Scott is an accomplished financial executive with deep experience in the banking industry. He offers a unique combination of finance, process improvement, systems implementation, data management and enterprise-level change management skills. He has also had experience as a line Chief Financial Officer. The majority of his career was at Citigroup, where he has served in high-level project management and financial leadership roles. Most recently, as Global Platform Implementation Lead within the Best in Class Finance Program, he played a key role in the design and implementation of new worldwide processes and IT platforms as part of a comprehensive Finance re-engineering effort. As Deputy Controller, Scott conceived and implemented the foundation for what subsequently evolved into the Best in Class Finance initiative. This included the development and implementation of a system to consolidate Citi’s financial statements to support legal and regulatory reporting. The system was rolled out simultaneously to over 1700 users in 85 countries. As a line finance officer, Scott spent five years as CFO of Citi’s Consumer Business in Hong Kong and two years as CFO of Citi’s South Asia Consumer Group. Previously, he was the Director of Reporting & Analysis for Citi’s International Consumer Business.
A CPA, Scott received an MBA in Finance & Accounting from the University of Chicago and Economics degree from Lafayette College.
