Rob Milrod supports the firm’s Banking and Financial Institutions practice. He is a senior finance leader with over 25 years of experience including audit experience at a big four public accounting firm, senior global roles at Citigroup in finance, investor relations and sales, and consulting work with smaller companies and startups.
At Citigroup Rob served as segment CFO and head of planning and analysis for global consumer banking (cards, banking, investments, insurance), U.S. retail banking, global operations and technology, and shared services. In these roles he redesigned and improved planning and analysis systems and processes, developed product profitability models, optimized the financial reporting process, managed expense reductions, and worked with technology leaders, to implement new cloud-based platforms and achieve their expense reduction targets. Rob also worked as a relationship manager in investor relations where he managed relationships with buy side investors, sell side analysts and ratings agencies, and as national sales director for retail banking where he developed coaching, training, and sales process playbooks and redesigned incentive compensation.
More recently Rob has provided hands on fractional CFO support to build financial infrastructure and operating discipline at e-commerce and PE companies.
Rob earned a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration from the University at Albany (SUNY) and an MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, both with honors, and is a New York State licensed CPA.
